GOPRO LAUNCHES ENTRY-LEVEL HERO CAMERA

GoPro have announced the availability of a new action cam in their range. HERO goes on sale for $299.95 and will allow you capture that all-important sports action no matter where you are.

HERO features a 2-inch touch display, is waterproof to 30 feet and GoPro says it's extremely durable, making it the perfect GoPro for kids, adventurous social sharers and travellers.

Meghan Laffey, GoPro’s SVP of Product said:

HERO is a great first GoPro for people looking to share experiences beyond what a phone can capture,

HERO makes it easy to share ‘wow’ moments at a price that’s perfect for first-time users.

It features 1440p and 1080p HD Video, 10Megapixel Photo, plus voice control to start and stop recording, take a photo, turn off and more.

It also features video stabilisation and is compatible with the full range of GoPro mounts and accessories.

For an extra $7.95 a month, users can subscribe to the PLUS service which offers cloud backup, a 20% discount on accessories and more.

You don't have to fumble with SD Cards any longer either thanks to the GoPro app. HERO pairs with the app and makes managing your photos and videos easy.

GadgetNET says: GoPro pioneered the action cam category and for a long time were unmatched. There's loads of choice on the market now though so it's good to see GoPro becoming more affordable.
